Value question: NIB CZ-75 Variant 1, no import marks

So my stepdad picked up a CZ in Europe when he was stationed there in the 80s. At the time, they didn't think the CZs would make their way over here, and hence it should hold some good collector's value.

Of course, the wall came down the CZs came over here.

It looks like the original variants go for about 400 to 500. How much would an unfired, mint condition one go for? 700? 800?

It has more collector value if it a very early one with the extra short frame rails that are prone to cracking.

The other pre-B's I see in auctions aren't worth appreciably more than current NIB versions.

I may be jaded, I put many 10's of thousands of rounds through my CZ's every year and I value the 5 yr warrantee (free slide stops) more than collectability. Guns are a poor investment performer.

I've been looking for one of these for a long time.

Usually the model 2 pre-b's 81 and up go for 700-800 mint on average some times a little more. A model 1 easily goes for more than that.
