Pistol for left handers?

I was out teaching my brother in law to shoot. He's left handed and I realized none of my pistols are set up for left handers. So, we had to modify all our techniques. Is there a pistol out there that is set up for both righties and lefties that's on the CA gun list?? thanks.

Beretta PX4 Storm. The magazine release can be changed from right hand use to left hand use, the safety and decocker is already on both sides of the pistol. The 9mm and .40 are on the list, pity the 45acp isn't. I just DROS one 9mm last week.

Walther PPQ is a great lefty pistol. The M2 has a thumb release magazine you would have to mover over (just like the M&P), The Classic or M2 version has a trigger guard lever which makes it 100% ambidextrous.

Highly recommended.

As a left hander, my advice is to adapt.

having said that, i have 1911 and xd. They are ambi friendly but not truly for left handers.

Also using the slingshot technique helps.

SIG-Sauer P-series pistols work very well in the left hand, and the magazine release can be reversed on most models.

I received this wise advice from a left-handed salesperson at the LGS. It has served me well.

+2 on adapt. Ambi safety is great on 1911's too, and I'm sure the guns recommended would work.

I always shot 870's, 1100's, model 12 right handed shotguns growing up and just ran them left handed. Still do.

I would hate to come across any tool, whatever handed and not be able to pick it up and use it.
