You might want to check out the handgun flow chart. Right around step 16 trouble rears it's ugly head.

Detachable magazine outside the pistol grip.

No, pistols can't have a detachable mag outside of the grip. Laws are retarded I know

Put a MMG or hammerhead grip where the pistol grip goes. Magwell can't be outside a pistol grip if there is no pistol grip

Then again, if there is no pistol grip, can it still be defined as a pistol??? If an "other" had no stock and no legally defined pistol grip, can anything go??

Don't try this at home lol

LOL my head hurts reading it. Since it's no loinger a pistol then you get in trouble for not meeting the minimum OAL.

                DUDE!

So if there is no pistol grip installed at all, just a plug that holds in the selector pin, can the "pistol grip" then be the magwell?????

You just grip the magazine, hold the buffer tube up to your cheek, and use your other finger to pull the trigger!

WW: Your thinking is just fine.
It's the laws that are a pile of dung.
You don't have much to work with here.
                  So, dung in, dung out.

well, if it isn't a pistol and is <26" OAL, then you better have a tax stamp for that puppy, otherwise you have a federal felony on your hands.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Okokok, so no pistol grip (plugged), pistol buffer tube, 80% lower completed with the word "pistol" engraved in the side, get a Mako magwell grip or have the lower machined with the finger grooves, pin a thread protector to the end of the barrel...

Then all that's left is... is a fore end or quad rail considered a barrel shroud?
                        If so, nix it!

                        There ya go!

LOL wow WW. Its so crazy you might be onto something... not sure what but something...
Kinda reminds me of the USFA ZIP... Those have no "pistol grip" in the traditional sense of the word.
