What is the pistol's capacity? Some sources state it's 9 and 13 rounds depending on the magazine, other sources say it's 9 +1 and 13 +1. So, is this pistol capable of holding the +1 or is it limited to 9 and 13 rounds?

9+1 means 9 in the magazine and one chambered.

Kit comes with 1 x 9 round mag and 1 x 13 round mag.

Fantastic pistol!
Watch out for possible law changes regarding the 13 round mag.

I recommend that you buy yourself Talon grips, a few more 9 round mags and Pearce bottom plates.

Since the XDm 3.8 can also use Xd 10rd with extensions it's actual variations are 9+1, 10+1, and 13+1.

9 is flush fit, both 20 and 13 with extended grip.

Love that pistol.
