    SP2022 .40 question

I was shooting a SP2022 today and noticed that it does not hold open after firing the last round. When inserting an empty magazine, it holds the slide back after pulling the slide back. However, when shooting, the slide still closes even after the last round has been spent. Any idea what may be going on?

I was shooting with Bulletman (Serge) and Miwall 180 grain reloads. I don't know if this has happened before as it is my first time shooting this handgun. Other than that, the handguns was flawless and accurate.

    Thank you.

Check your dominant thumb riding on the slide stop, very common mistake with the Sig Sp2022

I was doing that at first. Was thinking my gun was broken
        It was simply my hand...

A quick way to check is to shoot it left handed and see if the slide still closes on the last shot

Huh. I did not think it would be my thumb. I will have to check that out the next time I am out. I never would have thought that. Thank you!

I will definitely do that. I need the practice with my weak hand anyway.
