Asked and answered. If you plan to be a responsible gun owner, read up on legislation and proposed gun laws. Unless any gun manufacture implements and uses microstamping, NO NEW guns will be on the roster. P227 is a NEW gun.

SSE or PPT seems to be the way to go for this gun. I was planning on SSE'ng one but reading up on the Sig's reluctance to work on SSE guns from CA, i'll probably get a 1911 or an on-roster P220. Drama and warranty service don't mix.

I really appreciated having Sig work on my Mosquito under warranty when I had issues w/it.

Yup NeoMedic is right. I doubt SIG had submitted a 227 for review before the Microstamping legislations came into play. But if they did. It would have a loaded chamber indicator and a magazine disconnect, specific to all CA sigs.

I've see a few 227s go on sale at LGS but through SSE. Just keep your eyes peeled.

Nope if it's not already on the roster it never will be . And I've heard that once it falls off the roster it can't be renewed with out micro stamping . And I don't think many company's will be on top of the new regulations any time soon .

Couple things.
1. Sig will not perform maintenance on ANY CA hangun that does not posses CA legal features (mag disconnect/LCI). How I know this is I own a P220 which I purchased New in 1992 on my 21st birthday. I recently contacted Sig to find out how to send it in for their service package which is offered to Sig owners. I was informed that if I sent my pistol in they would be unable to ship it back to CA because it does not posses these features,regardless of date of manufacturing,or of the fact that it is my legal property,and is registered in my name.
2. I was able to fondle a 227 at my LGS which does LEO/SSE sales. IMHO,the large grip size the 227 has to accommodate its 10 round doublestack mag is uncomfortable,and not ergonomic in comparison to the 220's single stack 8 round grip and not worth the hassle of SSE or the increased price of the weapon itself.
As much as it pains me to say(as I LOVE my 220),Sig has shown itself to be a non CA friendly manufacturer,and they will never get my $$ again...ymmv

I really wish some $$$ money hungry attorney would start a class action lawsuit against manufacturers that incorrectly interpret the roster as an excuse to not perform warranty work they are obligated to perform.

And, of course, there is always the P220 single stack 10 round option, which gets a little longer but retains the very comfortable grip.

I picked one up the other day from direct action solutions In delamar, 950 something out the door, came with night sights and a railed frame. SSe of course. It's a hefty handgun, definitely solid as a rock, probably not an ideal ccw gun.

ill post some pics up later on. My first sig, i plan on shooting the piss out of it.

For a sig to come back on the roster with a mag safety and a lci will it also need microstamping or would the mag safety and lci do just fine?
