Good price point but ugly as sin! I'd almost rather shoot anything else!

I have over 6K rounds through mine with out a problem. I haven't found any ammo that it doesn't shoot and I think it's a good looking gun at least it looks better than a gluck

I think that's what my grandfathers owns. Kind of an awkward different grip and feeling gun IMO.

Not many rounds through it but I think the 250 he's put through it have been fine.

I like the way the bi-tone looks, just put a deposit down for one at Turners yesterday, they are matching prices on everything in their fall flyer except for the front page.

I loved mine. I had a small issue with the sights (seemed to be frozen in place) and the super helpful customer service person gave me a whole new slide.

He even gave me one in black when mine was the original stainless.

                Typical Ruger value.
Very good trigger break for a striker.
If you buy used, just make sure it the updated trigger with the "D" shaped mag. release.

Thumb safety, I guess that can be debated.

                Aesthetically the ginormous LCI.

Mine does not seem to like brass cased ammo as much as steel cased. Shoots well enough. Kinda ugly compared to 1911's and other beautiful handguns. But I love mine.

Pros - It's a Ruger, so if it does have problems like my SR9c did, they will take care of it.

                        Cons - It's not a S&W

My personal experience with the SR9 compact that I had was that it had serious issues with light strikes. It took two trips back to Ruger before they solved the problem but I had zero confidence in that gun anymore, so away it went. Aesthetics leave a lot to be desired. They were really lazy in their "adjustable" backstrap by making it a rubber insert that you can flip over. Trigger is about on par with a Glock. LCI looks retarded, but seems to be the trend for Ruger on their new semi-autos and you guys in Cali don't have much of a choice on that anyway...kinda pisses me off that they don't have a free state version without it the way S&W did the Shield with a free state version and a commie state version with all your required BS safeties.

If you can get it for a good price it is probably worth it. Personally, I would go with a Glock or M&P over the SR series, but that is because I have never experienced a single failure with either of those brands vs sending the same gun back twice to Ruger to get it fixed.

I like its ergonomics, the price, and the looks (subjective). Only concern is, there were several complaints about the barrel peening on the very early release. The magazines are pricy and hard to find except if you buy them directly from Ruger.

Try getting the newer versions, just to be sure.

Have SR9c and SR40; over time, going to be adding SR45 and SR9, maybe SR40C. yes, I am a big fan. For me, excellent ergonomics, natural aim/point, fantastic trigger and trigger reset, and the two that I have are very easy to shoot accurately. SR40 has the least felt recoil of any 40 that I have shot (5 different 40s).

What I don't like: they have slide locks, not a slide release. Not always easy to find all black, especially with the D shaped mag release.

                              Reliable pistol

I bought a p95 used.It has proven to be a very reliable gun. It looks to me that gun prices have leveled off and may be in fact headed south. What do you think about prices in general ?
