    9mm 1911

Can anyone recommend a shop in modesto/Stockton/San Jose area where I can buy a 9mm 1911. I'm trying to keep it under 1k. I've seen people post that they have a RIA 9mm and I've also seen people post springfields for about $1,200

Let me know If its even possible

    Thanks

i'd recommend the RIA 9mm 1911 for a cost effective model.

You can purchase it from grabagun and they are California friendly... you will have to get it SSE'd.

I did mine at MParms in san jose... when I had mine I had no issues with it at all... not the best fit and finish but it went bang everytime.

Not sure about the prices up there but from what I know, there are only a few on the roster and 3 of them - one from Kimber and two from SA - are $1K+ OTD. Resale values of those are kinda high too because they are not readily available. RIA might be your best bet for your budget with leftover funds for extra mags and ammo.

Good luck! Do you already have a 1911 in .45ACP?

I will add in...STI Spartan has a MSRP of $725.
(Armscor makes the Spartan with STI's small parts to their specs.)

Good luck finding one on the cheap. Last I checked 9mm 1911s were 1 not so common and pretty expensive.

            I got a STI Spartan V 9mm for $600 from Gunbroker.

After shipping, tax, and SSE fees, it came to $780

I did my transfer ant Mount Pleasant Arms.

Just broke her out last night.

            Very Smooth action.

Here is a seller on gunsamerica willing to ship to California.

I spoke to them before when I was shopping for one till I found a better price on gunbroker.

I have a kimber custom 2 and a Gsg 1911 .22lr. I just love the organomics of the gun. Going to be looking to RIA and take trigger945 advise

I've shot a number Kimber 1911's in 9mm and all were really nice. I have a SA EMP, which is more than the budget you mentioned, but it is fantastic. Looks good, very accurate and small. If you can find one to rent, I suggest you try it.
                  You won't be disappointed.

Only 10. 8 yards off hand slow fire (one to three second per shot)

Those were some cheap-o strike industries grips, basically their VZ gator look a-likes.

Also the magazines, I had just added screw on base extensions... Think they are ed brown's from brownells.
