Glock Question.. Barrels and diff calibers

Just want to confirm something here....

For my Glock 22 Gen 4, buying a lone wolf barrel 40-9 would be all I need to do to convert it to 9mm? are the same mags and all good to go?

Yes that is all you will need. We ran 9mm in our .40 mags with no problems. Some people say it isn't as reliable, but for target shooting it ran just fine. You can also do .357 sig

Technically yes being you can load 40 cal mags with 9mm and they feed ok for the most part.

Some guys even run stock non conversion barrels but I wouldn't reccomend that LIKE AT ALL.

But yes you can run that set up but buying 9mm mags and the barrel is a full conversion I'd say being you won't have issues with mags not feeding like you might with the 40 cal mags

Get a couple mags of the conversion caliber as well. It's not that expensive to begin with ($60 for two G17 mags is pretty common and easy to source), and you'll get most of that back should you ever sell them. So for a maximum of $20 "lost" (worst case scenario if you needed a quick sale, you'd easily get $20 apiece for G17 Gen4 mags if they're in decent condition), you could run G17 mags in your G22 and eliminate even the minimal concerns that you might have feeding issues with 9mm rounds in your G22 mags.

I'd also put in a 9mm extractor and ejector.

it's not needed with a lonewolf barrel, it is off set so the extractor works great, I have one for my 27 and after 200+ rounds have not had one problem. I am running 26 mags but the 27 mags worked when I tried them.

I'd confirm with them if those barrels actually work in the 4th Gen's.

^^^^ This! If you look at the ejectors, you'll see that they are totally different (9mm is curved). It will work without it, but you'll have irrational ejection and not the typical 45 degree that you may be use to.

So ideally the component list would be:

                      1.) Conversion Barrel
                      2.) 9mm Extractor
                      3.) 9mm Ejector
                      4.) 9mm Magazines
                      5.) 9mm Ammo

For .357 SIG it would be the same, but with those caliber specific parts.
