    Help!

I have a serious decision to make. Out of the 4 options, which would be your choice and why? I trying to pick between the 4 and I am completely stumped.

    1. Citadel 1911 Full size w/ 1 mag
    2. Rock Island armory G.I Full size 1911 w/ 2 mags
    3. Springfield Loaded Champion Lightweight 1911 4" barrel w/ 4 mags (will have to add a substantial amount to acquire)
    4. Keep my M&P 45 w/ 2 10 round mags, 2 14 round rebuilds, with holster and mag carrier

Everyone is going to post their opinions of what would work best for them. You are the only one who might know which will work best for you.

Personally, I suggest keeping what you have and adding to your collection when you can afford to instead of trading one gun for another.

BTW, I prefer 1911s but, if you like your M&P, you should keep it and wait until you can afford a nice 1911.

Cross out the first 2 and save for the Springfield Loaded.

IMHO Citadel's look pretty nice for their pricepoint, but resale value (you'll probably want a better 1911 later) makes it the least desirable of the choices listed. Why get the RIA GI model when you can have the tactical for like $50 more? M&P's are nice, but if you really want a 1911, get a 1911.

I would also suggest you demo other 1911s to see which one you like best. Many ranges have a good selection of 1911s that you can rent and see which ones shoot best for you.

I believe that Springfield lightweight champion was discontinued in Feb, and that was a very nice gun so I'd definitely grab that one. I wanted one but could never find one.

Might have to camp out, but Turners in Temecula has a RIA Tactical for $450, only 25 at that price, tomorrow only-08/03/13.

I have a RIA Tactical (same as Citadel, all Armscor I guess) and the LW Champion Operator.

Detailed striped...piece by piece, fit and finish, the Champion Operator wins easily.
What really separates them is the Springfield has an aluminum frame and rail. BTW: I really like the aluminum frame's weight.

At the range, about the same.

Cant really fair to compare these...can't go wrong with either.

                  NONE OF THE ABOVE!

The 1911 may have been in wars for 100 years, but Masetro Bartolomeo Beretta was arming the world 400 years before John Browning was ever a wet dream.

Keep the M&P45. Save up your pennies for a quality 1911.
