mags for the p6

I have orderd 2 new mags for my p6 . J&G is selling pro mags for $19.00 or so . Has anyone used these mags before as I'm just curious if they are a good company. I have always had mixed results with most mags ,whether they came with a new pistol of purchased from brownells ect.
At least there is something availabel.
Any input?

Can you still cancel the order? If you need to rely on the P6 to function then the pro mags will let you down.

On that note... Is there any other source for a good mag for the P6 that anyone knows of?

It seems factory P225 mags can cost a bunch. Top Gun Supply has it listed for $40 each and they are out of stock. With the influx of P6s, crappy ProMags may be your only choice for a while until the hoarding ends. Didn't each P6 come with 2 mags? I know it's a pain to reload both mags every 16rds, but it may have to be done that way...

I'm used to loading my 1911 mags 5 rounds per shooting string so I only purchased one mag with my P6 and put the price difference towards hand-select fees. Got mine from J&G Sales and you have a choice between one mag or two.

Just don't go bonkers and buy one of those factory mags from Gunbrokers for $75+...

Do a search. There's at least 6 current threads regarding the P6 and promags. The 8 round Promags work fine. I've ran 100 rounds of FMJ and 50 rounds of JHP so far through mine and not a single issue. It's the double stack promags that everyone has an issue with.

Promags bad rep stems from their hi cap/ double stack offerings. I've had their single stack mags for numerous handguns that have functioned fine over the years.

Also... has anyone noticed how close the P1 mag fits the P6? Anyone handy with a dremel could make Walther stock mags work in their P6.

Hit and miss on Promag. Depends on the gun.
I tried two Promag mags in a PM9 and it did not function well at all. Event swapped out the spring and follower from a factory mag to give it a try.

I sent Email to Sig Sauer. and they said
"We do not have it in stock,and will not have in futuer."
only thing I can think now is Promag for range and OEM for selfdeffen use.
hope in futer more use or new P6 mag from German or other place will be here,for cheapper price not for $60+ for it.

Yeah get two p6 with two mags each. That would give you 4mags and then you can sell one p6 with a pmag for about $250 at least.

I have the promags, they are cheaply built.

It feels as though I can bend them in half, and they tend to not feed the 6th round. Bang bang bang bang bang, slide locked open....wtf? rack...bang....bang...

well, you can at least rest assured that when your gun is empty (or, more likely, jammed) you can use the razor sharp jagged edges of your promag to jab at your enemy.

Just curious - does the Promag feed problems stem from weak springs or poor mag-well fit? If it's the former, maybe duenor's arsenal spring replacements could be used for the original OEM mags and use the existing original springs in the Promags.
