Suggestions for glock 22 tune up?

Just wondering what anyone has done to their glock 22?
I bought mine used a couple months ago and i don't notice anything wrong (except I need more range time HA!). Should I just leave it factory or should I replace or add anything?

I was just thinking some grip tape and maybe a mag extension. When should I start thinking about replacing the barrel?

some like it stock, some like to do some sight job, recoil spring, trigger and after market(full support barrel).

i belong the first group. stock sight(i like it more than 3 dots), only extra part i have is a conversion barrel of 40-9mm for my glock22. but when i shoot .40, everything stock.

I like to keep my pistols bone stock, 'cept for the occasional nights sights. Before you think about modifying your Glock, get used to it first to see if you really want to change/upgrade anything. The cool thing about Glocks is that the takedown is super easy. I suggest getting the "Complete Reference Guide" by Ptooma, that book is the best I have found and shows you how to completely take apart your Glock for cleaning or mod'ing.

As for the barrel they can go for 10's of thousands of rounds and yours should be fine.

            This grip tape is wonderful.

After that, I'd change the sights unless you really like cheap plastic ones

If you're running reloads, you may want to invest in a replacement barrel. The factory barrel is fine, but for a little extra piece of mind, I'd go for a KKM or Barsto barrel.

As far as the running gear, keep it stock and learn the quirks of the Glock first. Then after a few thousand miles make some adjustments. I personally polish all my trigger bars for a nice smooth pull. But that's me.

Range time and training are the 2 best upgrades you can do to any weapon.

There are tons of things you can do. Here are the things I've done to my G20:

                3.5lb Ghost Rocket w/overtravel stop
Hand fitted, beveled and polished contact points from trigger bar to disconnect.
Mag well (GREAT for grip... HIGHLY recommended for non-CCW Glock)
                Extended slide stop lever
                Extended mag release
                SS captive guide rod
Wolff 22# recoil & stock weight striker springs
                Aluminum striker assy cover plate
                TruGlo TFO sights
                Jarvis 6" barrel

These are all recommended in my opinion.... they greatly improve the gun. I would stay away from the titanium parts and reduced weight striker springs... you can do the above things and keep the reliability.

EDIT: You probably don't want the 22# spring if you're not shooting hot 10mm... sorry about that. 20# is probably the heaviest you want to go on hot & heavy ammo in a .40 S&W.

MidwayUSA cat. #31, p. 528/529 have all the stuff you'd want to have on hand for a tuneup plus some cool upgrades, I'm ordering all the springs, the recoil buffer, and the trigger stop. I'm not going to mess around with aftermarket recoil springs just yet--the thing shoots great.

With the gun disassembled, I'll replace all the springs, clean the heck out of it, do a little polishing, lightly, here and there where needed, re-assemble, and do a bunch of dry-fires to check for perfect functioning before I go shooting. The only reason for my little tune-up is last time out, there were 6-7 rounds that failed with a lite primer strike out if 450rnds total. That was very un-Glock-like so I know first aid is needed.

What are you using the gun for? CCW,leave it alone any lawyer worth his weight in mud will throw a "modified, hair triggered, fully loaded with dangerous hollow point ammo handgun"in a jurys face. If it's for target or compitition get the 3.5lb connecter, and polish everything metal in the trigger group. I did that to my 21 and it is the best Glock trigger any of my L.E.O. or military buddys have tried. Take up is smooth, breaks at 2lbs,1/8" reset....Sweet
