Utah CCW permit class in SD?

Where is a good place in San Diego to get a Utah CCW permit course? I would like to get one before Utah decides to begin seriously closing the doors on out-of-state permits.

I just did a google for Utah CCW. CCWUSA has a course in San Diego at the end of June.

Americanccw is in Los Angeles area

I don't know anything else about either company.

I saw them too when I googled, I didn't know if they were credible or if I could get the course completed for for cheaper, etc.

So I am looking at around 230 bucks or so for everything, right?

          Approximately.

I got my Utah and Florida CCW's through him with no problems.

He also does private firearm instruction and has beginner/intermediate pistol group classes available. Not sure what he charges, you'd have to ask him.

Supposedly Utah is contemplating stopping the issuance of CCW permits to non residents. I have not verified it but just saw it on another forum.

            So get it quick!

I talked to Bill Desy about this rumor and he told me that Utah has not indicated this would happen to him or other CCW instructors.

Is the State or 1 or 2 Representatives thinking about making an issue of it?

H2H - I was looking at taking my UT CCW class at American CCW in Torrance.

$150 for the UT CCW for another $25 they'll add the FL CCW - group discounts of course. THey seem to have a pretty open schedule.

Wow, that's real close by(to where I work). I might just sign up, always thought Utah CCW classes were located too far from me. Nice!

But I don't have a gun that's concealable (USP 40f) or does it really matter?

Same here, close to where I work (western & el segundo) which is why I was thinking of zapping it out one day after work, maybe cuttin' out of work early and gettin' it done. Let me know if you're interested and what your availability is.

LAX gun range off manchester in inglewood offers the same class at the same price.

I'm usually available Mon or Thurs, mostly Thurs though. Was an afterthought but now I'm started to get more interested since it's just a few blocks from where I work and where my mom lives.

All I have are fullsize guns, will that be a problem for taking the class? Just need to get a CCW-type holster for it?

I don't think the size of the gun matters nor does whether or not you have a CCW type holster.

ZMAN - the permit is good in AZ, NV, and about 30 other states (does not allow you to carry CCW here in calif.)

check this page out and it will show all the states that allow you to CCW with a UT permit
