finally picked up my new kimber! havent had time to go shoot it yet but i will post up as i take it out. Currently put silde glide on the gun and feels smooth as hell racking. anyone have any experiences with slide glide? This is my first 1911 and wont be the last

Congrats on the Kimber, I've never used slide glide, but have used CLP.

I have not used Slide Glide yet but I use grafite powder on my slides and it is very smooth, no oily deposits from gun powders.

I like to call it my "10 day penalty period." I feel like I won the lottery when my 10 days is up. Mine was up today on a 870, just got back from the range, blasted lots of paper with thousands of holes.

I never used any "slide glide" on my 1911. I have used Mobil 1 synthetic "pink" grease. After thousands of rounds, there is minimal wear.

Mine was up yesterday on my Buck Mark Micro, put a few hundred rounds through it tonight at Reeds, man, what a shooter. Feels fantastic and very accurate.

thanks everyone! Man im so excited to hit the range. Only thing is .45acp ammo is so freaking expensive =X . I got the slide glide from irvington arms. Hella cool guys ian introduced me to it. Showed me the difference between a glock 17 with it and with normal oil. Impressed me so much just by racking it. The only thing is we cleaned my kimber right when i picked it up and used the slide glide so I wont know what a kimber feels like with normal gun oil so i was looking for feed back. If anyones in san jose/ fremont area and wants to try the stuff out im more then happy to share some. Its a pretty small amount for 10 bucks so share mine before you guys buy it. That way i can make more friends on the forums and have a shooting group =P

I was supposed to pick up my revolver yesterday but I'm busy studying for finals next week. My other revolver will be ready to be picked up on the 10th.

man it seems like alot of people have been buying guns this week. In that case, for the record im actually on my 10 day hold again lol. I have a mossy for pick up in 8 days =P I hate the stupid 10 day waiting period. Its a good idea if it's your first firearm but what is the purpose of a cooldown period when the majority of us have so many other firearms? It just makes me annoyed my need for a new toy hasnt been meet and i end up buy more guns during the duration of my waiting period.
