Desert Eagle price check

Stopped by SoCal guns last night in san diego was looking at a 44 Desert eagle 1295.00 for the gun and 395.00 for the 50 AE kit. does anyone know where to find them cheaper?

That's a fair price, for a new DE. Considering you can handle and check the action of the DE. And support your local brick and mortar store. The 50ae kit can be had a little cheaper, at Midway. When they are in stock.

You just cant get a store bought DE in anything other then a black .44 *DECA44* Anything other must be a PPT or buy the barrel and mag in .50AE seperate. I just scooped up a .50AE from dachan with zero issues. I have seen the DE's at Burners *Turners* for 1599.00 Insane price.

Daves...Is the one your looking at a Mark XIX or Mark VII? If you plan on buying the .50AE kit, better make sure your getting a Mark XIX!!! (Fluted barrel)

Sorry, but you can buy .50AE conversion kits for the .44 DE perfectly fine.


Edit: To the OP. Turners has sales every once in a while for a nice price. I remember the sale price used to be $999.00 a few years ago, latest I saw was, I believe $1099? Might have gone up from there.

You may be confusing this with .50BMG, in which a rifle chambered in .50BMG is banned from new purchase or transfer.

.50BMG is, also, not a destrictuve device.

No it is NOT banned nor DD. It's perfectly fine to sell, buy, and possess. Also the .50AE ammo is not expensive at all for someone who can afford for the gun. Oh! and it's really fun to shoot. I think .50AE is the largest caliber that you can shoot with fun. Anything beyond comes with little pain in my opinion.

SF has a ban on the sale of .50 cal guns & ammo (article 9, Sec. 613.10-1) , LA county has ban on sale of .50 cal firarms (not just 50 BMG).

To OT, I bought a slightly used 44DE in black. It looks like a very, very low round count, and I bought it for $1100. Looking to recoat pretty soon, but want to get it out to the range...
