I don't know about in 9mm but back in the mid 90's when they first hit the shelves my Dad bought two fullsizes. The first in 40 SW which is all they had the 45 acp down the line since that caliber was really hard to get.
Both guns where jam-o-matics. Every other round or mag failure to extract usually a stove pipe.
The 45 was his night stand gun until the many disappointing range trips, he went back to his Colt 1911 that never gave him a problem. He was really excited for a all metal double stack 45 but was soured on EAA from then on.
Maybe today the quality is much better but back then I would spend the extra money on the CZ and call it a day.
