Which Bore Brush

Which bore brush do you guys recommend ? I want something that would last a few sessions if there is such thing.

Any bore brush, copper or synthetic one should last a long time if not a life time...

Personally I like bore snakes. I don't have a 9mm one but I pass my .30 cal rifle one thru all my 9mms and while not a perfect fit still work. Other then that I use a synthetic brush that came with a glock.

For my .45s I use the synthetic brush that comes with Springfield guns. For 9mm I usually use a bore snake or an Otis copper brush; I tried the Springfield brush that came with my XD9, but apparently SA packs the same size brush with their guns regardless of caliber.

I bought a set of various caliber nylon brushes a long, long time ago, and they show no visible wear.

Those brushes are awesome, but any nylon brush will suffice.

Personally, I use a Dewey rod, and IOSSO nylon brushes.

I use Pro-Shot bronze bristle, brass core brushes. Spray down with brake or carb cleaner after use to clean and keep solvent from eating away the brush.

Brass or nylon makes zero difference.

About the only way to ruin a bore brush is to reverse its direction of travel in the barrel. That forces the bristles to bend severely and that may break them off. Make sure that you push the brush all the way out of the barrel at both ends, before changing direction.

+1 for pro shot bronze brushes, I use them and they last

+1...I use the same stuff. I then finish it off with a nylon Hoppes jag or my Dewey brass jag if I am cleaning a 45. I find the nylon Hoppes 45 jag is a tad bit too small.

I use the ones that come with my guns, they are free and work fine. I do also have bore snakes in each caliber that I prefer, they do a very good job of getting all the gunk out of there.
