I also started with a Glock and then bought a Springfield Trophy Match. Initially I could not shoot the SA as well as the Glock, which was a bit disappointing. But after making a couple adjustments and going through a few hundred rounds practicing I am much more comfortable and accurate with the 1911.

Congrats, that's a great gun. It'll be interesting to hear your feedback after you get a chance to shoot it.

Great first choice. I had one prior and I sold it thinking of getting into higher end 1911's like Wilson's and nighthawks.... I still miss that gun. Never sell it, that gun is a winner!
