I would like to get the EXCELLENT grade to see how it comes... People are reporting NIB, or close to it...

Month and year of manufacture. The 3 digits below that are the last 3 of the serial #, it is usually on the slide and the barrel, and should match the last 3 of the serial # on the frame. There may be some other marks, most of the recent ones seem to have NW on them. That is the abbreviation for the Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine Westfalia), capital is Dusseldorf, which is the state that owned them.

According to HH on Sigforum (a german police officer) North Rhine Westfalia is supposed to be replacing 40,000 of them.

I'll post pictures when I get mine, which is Excellent grade from J&G... It certainly has "less" holster wear but it does not look NIB. The internal is a different story and could definitley pass for NIB, except for the smilies on the barrel from loading/unloading drills the policeman goes through every day.

I just checked SIGforum.com, it seems like the domain name is expired. Unless they change the site recently, can't seem to find it online.

Mine lightened up substantially... I think the springs available for 220, 226 are identical.
