Glock people, a question...

Is there a "trick" to shooting Glocks? I shoot my Sigs and HK's pretty well, but I can't hit a damn thing with a Glock 19. I'm usually low and to the left.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I shot a friend's G23 and his sights were having me shoot down and right. Maybe you need to make adjustments. There's also charts out there which will show you flaws in your trigger pull depending on the direction it is going.

Haha common problem. It's a different grip angle and bore height.

Give it more time and work on your trigger pull. I too was low right as many others. Worked on fundamentals and am now dead center. If not Glocks aren't for everyone and maybe your one of them so just stick to what you shoot well if you don't like it. But it happens,like I said it just takes a little getting use to.

Sounds like standard right handed shooter anticipation.

Just focus on the fundamentals: Sight Alignment\Picture, Trigger Squeeze, and Follow-Through. When pressing the trigger, bring in the take up, and gradually begin increasing pressure until the shot breaks, trap the trigger, release to the reset point, and then repeat.

Ok, so I'm not the only one. My Sig feels natural in my hands, but the Glock doesn't.

But lining up your sights and pulling the trigger is the same on any modern handgun. Don't let anyone make excuses for you by saying something just isn't for you. Sometimes getting used to a different platform will take a little bit of practice.

FWIW, I shoot my Sig better as well.

I don't own a Glock but have shot 19s and 17s (all Gen 3).

Keep practicing with the Glock. I've shot around 100 rounds through my G19 and liking the platform. But then again I started with a PF9

If I'm not comfortable with the gun, what good is it to me?

I just reread your first post to make sure. But you did ask for help didn't you or are you just trolling?

Keep practicing with the glock, it'll get better. Then, when it improves, practice going back and forth between the glock and whatever other guns/calibers you can. After a while you'll be able to pick up just about any handgun and after a mag or two shoot it as well as your favorites.

If fact my friends and I have started playing a new (to us) game. We line up whatever pistols we're using, load 2-3 rounds in each magazine, start on one end, insert mag, charge, aim and fire. Then move onto the next gun. Not really going for super fast speed, but also not lingering over the sights on each shot. 7-10 yards with 3 inch round shoot n' c targets. Lots of fun!

The first gun I shot was a G19. It was very accurate for me right away. Then again, I was not used to anything else.

When I bought a Springfield Trophy Match I expected to be even better at target shooting, and I was not. I think switching between platforms requires some mods in how you do things for many people. I finally changed my finger position on the trigger (more on the end of the finger vs middle of the pad with the Glock) and adjusted my stance slightly and I now shoot the Springfield much better.
