Saw one at Turner's for the exact same price (or maybe $10 cheaper). So as far as price goes, it sounds about right.

Turners Kearny had one for $1,539 last week. This Wild Bill guys price is in DW Specialist territory.

I sold my Pre CZ DW-PM7(a bit of seller's remorse - but my DW Valor is making it better) a few weeks back for $1400 used...so new at that price is ok...

I have the PM7 and the CBOB, got them at the same time a few years ago. Paid about $950.00 for each. I wouldn't buy one at $1,500.00.

I think they're each outstanding 1911 pistols, but the $1,500.00 price has nothing to do with the quality of the gun. Whether that cost reflects what CZ feels they should charge to keep the gun available to the CA market, or whether that's what CA sellers can charge because they're the only DW semi auto pistols on roster - I'm not sure. But the present CZ/DW isn't $600.00 better than they were a few years back.

It seems to me this is an instance where buying out of state, even when transfer fees are added, makes sense. Or, perhaps buying a different 1911 where all the cost is "on the gun" so to speak. Of course if someone just has to have the DW and they don't mind paying more in state, well just wanting and getting a particular gun has always been a good enough reason for me.
