    M&P officially fixed their triggers?

I had a M&P 45 2 years ago or so. I hissed and whined about how awful that damn trigger was with 0 reset. Long, no sign of a wall before break and gritty. 0 signs of any reset or audible click.

Decided I didn't want to pay out the *** for Apex parts to make a gun run well.

Avoided M&P's ever since until this evening when I headed to the range after work and rented a M&P9. No idea how many rounds are through this pistol but WOW.

What happened? Little long but butter smooth pull with an obvious wall and clean break. Very nice reset with an audible click. The fact that M&P's sit in my hand so well and now this one having such a nice trigger is really putting my Glocks in trouble as I still struggle with that damned grip angle and hump. First HK now M&P... Time to start rethinking everything I thought I liked.

This pistol appears to be new stock and I gather has the new two-dimple barrel. Having a range open in my neighbourhood was the worst thing ever...

Turners received a big shipment recently, as I jailed one on Wednesday and they showed 34 in their warehouse from 0 2 weeks prior and they are $529.99

Evidently M&P has been slowly evolving. Looks like they changed the barrel, sear and slide stop. http://modernserviceweapons.com/?tag=mp

S&W changed the M&P trigger last year.

I just picked up my M&P9c last week. I, like you, was horribly disappointed by the trigger of the original M&P series pistols. THEY ARE WAY BETTER NOW. I like mine so much I don't feel the need to do anything to the trigger, other than shoot it. The compact I bought sold me on the gun so much that I just picked up a full size today...and ordered a Shield to be my new main carry...will be at my dealer on Wednesday.

There is a much more positive reset feel on the new trigger, it is not an extremely loud reset click...not as loud as a Glock reset, but still noticeable when fondling the gun at home...on the range, with proper ear-pro and other shooters on the line, don't expect to hear it reset.

"Moms Demand Action" sounds less like a gun control group and more like the title of a porn flick from the mid-90s.

If you are a "reset" Nazi it had issues..but I found it to be a fine stock trigger *shrug* YMMV...

So if I want all these updates, what fire casing date should I be looking for to guarantee I get them?

                        Thank you

I just bought a m&p 9 mm and j hope it comes with all the new fixes. I looked at the test fire casing and it said it was test fired in January of this year.

If you read the 2nd article which refers to the slide stop/trigger reset update you'll see that the new parts are introduced when they use up the older stock. I don't think you'll get a definitive date as to when "all the fixes" are on a given gun. Maybe wait a bit and hope that a lot of folks buy the M&P line and that uses up the older stock then go get one for yourself.

This. The test fire date on my M&P9 full size is 1/23/13 and on my M&P9c it's 6/05/13 and neither of those have the newer style slide stop lever. I am going to contact S&W today about getting the updated part sent to me, I don't even mind paying for them, I would just like to have the most up do date parts in mine. Both of my guns have the updated sear and the updated barrel, though.
