Getting a new gen 3 19 and trying to figure out what night sights to put on them. Wondering if the glock night sights are worth the $25-30 savings over trijicons

glock night sights any good?

Idk about over the trijicons but yes they are quality sights.
I have a pair on my RTF2 17 and didn't even know till I put it in my safe at home. Not blinding bright but visable enough to know where your aiming. As for the savings I say yea it's worth the saved $$ being how often are you really going to shoot in pitch black and even if the trijicons are brighter how much brighter do you really need if they are? -
I have no experience with the Glock night sights.
I'm currently running the orange-front Trijicon HD's on my G17 and I love 'em.... I just ordered a second set for my G26.
The best price I could find 'in stock' was at DSG Arms. They have a 15% off Trijicon sale until the end of the month ($107 + $7 shipping):

Check out the XS sights.."Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

Don't know which is brighter at night... again, no experience with the Glock NS...Idk about over the trijicons but yes they are quality sights.

But I really like the Trijicon HD's for daytime shooting. The bright front sight really draws your eyes... I got the orange. Super fast pickup. I think the front sight is a bit more narrow,
or the rear-sight notch is a little wider than other night sights I've tired... You have a bit of distance, or light around the front sight, which I really like for uspsa.
I also dig the U-notch rear. Good combo. Very satisfied so far.

different night sight products have different dot pattern, people prefer some over others.
I like Trijicon HD and Hackathorn sight (or similar patterns), very bright/colorful front sight with dim rear. Fast to pick up during day light.Comment

I posted my opinion in another thread.
The Glock factory night sights I saw aren't as bright as Trijicons. I personally would stick with Trijicons on Glocks.. Skip the Glock factory sights.

+1 Trijicon HD, one of the best IMO.

The GLOCK branded night sights are manufactured by Meprolight for GLOCK. they have a 10yr. Illumination Warranty which is the longest in the business. I've never compared them side by side with Trijicons, so I can speak to the brightness, but they both feature a white ring around the tritium tube for daytime sight alignment. The factory GLOCK sight fit the best to the gun IMHO.Comment

For comparison sake, the Trijicon HD's have a 12yr Illumination Warranty. http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/support/warranty.phpComment

I have both the Glock (Meprolight) and Trijicon sights and the Glock sights win hands down. Both sights were manufactured within one month of each other and the Glock sights have always been much brighter. The real selling point to me is that the white ring on the Trijicon sight is painted on and flaked off after the third trip out with cleaning while the Meprolight - Glock sights white ring is from a small PVC tube that the tritium is sunk into and then epoxied over making it impervious to powder and cleaning solvents. It is only an added bonus that the Glock sights cost less (Even over the actual branded Meprolight sights)The GLOCK branded night sights are manufactured by Meprolight for GLOCK. they have a 10yr. ^ Just want to comfirm that you are not comparing the Trijicon HD model to the Glock (Meprolight)... The HD's fronts are not white and the Hi-Viz Orange or Yellow is coated to resist powder residue and cleaning solvents.I have both the Glock (Meprolight) and Trijicon sights and the Glock sights win hands down. I don't get to aim it when it glows.
Get to see it in my house a little bit and happy to have night sight.
I only shoot at range and I don't see night sight being any advantage.
For CC you would go with laser
