I also noticed for the past year, new women shooters I meet at the local matches all use the CZ SP-01.
I donno, man.... I hear you, I do.... but P7 is something else..... it is simply on different level from cz75. OF caue new one cost what? about triple?

EDIT 2020: To be fair that seems to apply to many Westerners also.

If she is good with the CZ-75, then thats your gun. How the gun feels to the individual who will be using it is more important than anything else.

I've got a CZ SP-01, love it and have started shooting matches with it. Make sure the gun fits her hand, though--I have fairly big hands for a woman and the trigger reach is on the edge of too long for me. I installed slim aluminum grips and that solved the problem.

                  One of each?

Well, we went to Reed's on Sunday and tried the M&P. Despite some jamming problems (probably due to abuse and lack of maintenance) we both really enjoyed shooting it. It is a very comfortable gun and we both shot it well. However, she still prefers the feel of the CZ. That, and all the commentary on here has convinced us the CZ is the way to go. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Kudos to the S&W M&P folks. It was like a very refined and ergonomic Glock. Still shot my G17 better though.

Glad to see you're going with the CZ.

I have a CZ P-01 in 9mm and it's easily the equal to any of my SiG at less than half the price.

                      Can't go wrong with CZ.

+1 I was going to suggest, if she liked the CZ75, she'd like the P01 even better! CZ is the best kept secret in gun ownership Everyone's all GLOCK this and SIG that...I'll definitely be adding a 97B to my 75BD, and I'll still come in cheaper for both than a 220 or USP.
