People, I come before you in search of your knowledge. My 1911 came with a black serrated adjustable sight and I hate it. It is an LPA cut with a dovetail in the front. Does anyone out there make a ghost ring or fiber optic sight to fit that cut? Is that a bad idea? Please give me your thoughts. I posted this before in optics but I had no success.

You might consider a fixed (LPA cut) sight from John Harrison. -
What kind of gun is this? Do you just hate the rear sight, or the sight picture? You could try keeping your adjustable black rear sight and just go with a fiber optic front. I have this on a couple of guns and it makes for a very good sight picture that is easy to pick up.Last edited by railroader; 07-17-2013, 6:11 AM.Comment

If you hate the rear sight just look at the front sight instead.People, I come before you in search of your knowledge. My 1911 came with a black serrated adjustable sight and I hate it. Personally I like black serrated rear sights since they don't pull my focus to the rear where it doesn't belong and it's easier for me to focus on the front sight where my focus does belong. I find fiber optic or dotted rear sights just an unneeded distraction. I run gold bead front sights but fiber optic fronts are fine too.Last edited by redcliff; 07-17-2013, 2:46 PM."You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
