CZ Compact - P01 - PCR Mag Question

I just picked a PCR last week. I've got the two factory 10 rounders.

I would like to try some magazines that have the extra rubber base plate on them, similar to what you get when you buy an SP-01. The gun fits my hand but I'm thinking if I just had a little more purchase on the grip with my pinky and the meat of my palm...it might be even better

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I have searched and searched and not really found a clear answer.

Can you buy 10 round compact mags with a rubber base plate?

If not, can you add a rubber base plate to the existing mags?

Lastly, and maybe a different route to solve this...I believe you can use .40 mags in the CZ 9mm and they will hold/chamber 9mm rounds no problem? Is that true? and if I'm striking out above, is there a .40 magazine that has what I want?

Thanks in advance for the help.

The rubber base plates from CZ USA are not compatible with the 10rd compact mags for 9mm. They will fit on the 14rd mags though. Mecgar .40sw mags work great holding 9mm.

Yeah the 10-round mags have their own, unique baseplates. The factory .40 and 9mm are actually a bit different from each other (despite being made by Mecgar), but the Mecgar ones for the CZ 75 based guns are IDENTICAL whether .40 or 9mm.

You can use a 16rd CZ75b mag with a SP-01 rubber base plate to get what you are looking for. Do a search on it.

Thanks for all the replies guys. And not to be-labor the question further...but just to make sure.

Are we saying these mags would work in the PCR and feed 9mm?

These appear to have the base pad I'm wanting, they are 10 rounders so they would be easy to acquire here in CA. But they do physically look different than the mags I have, the groove in the sides extends all the way.

The CZ branded 40sw mags won't work for 9mm only the Mecgar brand will. Those are the factory CZ mags that came with my P-06. The feed lip opening is too large to hold 9mm.
