Most of my gun purchases have been made on what "I want" or what others have told me "I should get". But now that I've been shooting for a while I would have to say - it depends on which one you shoot better. My most recent experience ended up showing me that I shoot my M&P compact better than any other (full sized) handguns. It is just something that totally works for me. After experiencing this I now see that there is something beyond just the gun or just the shooter and when the right gun is in the shooter's hand there is something special about it. So my advice is shoot what ever you are interested in first and the right one will be obvious to you.

then i would suggest you consider barrel and pistol availabilty for sse. alot of people are thinking the same way you are. some ffls who do sse will stop taking orders by september.
