Springfield owners, warranty ?

Has anyone purchased a used Springfield 1911 or any Springfield and had to send it back to springfield to fix any problems? Did they still honor the life time warranty (even if not first owner) and work on your gun free of charge?

Call them and find out. All my warranty work was done on first owner guns.

Springfield Armory has the best warranty in the firearms world. I have to send a couple of guns back for warranty issues and they have never asked whether I am the first owner or not, so I don't think they care just don't volunteer the information when its not needed.

Regardless of how old the pistol is, and regardless of whether or not you are the original owner, they will honor ANY warranty issues, free of charge, no questions asked.

The best warranty in the industry.

I picked up a SA loaded fairly new but I was the second owner and it was stove piping and ftf so I called Springfield and told them my problem and that I was the second owner and they sent me a call tag and fixed it and shipped it back all free of charge.

SA will take care of you and stand behind their products. Usually on their dime too.

Thanks everyone ... If everything goes as arranged, I'll be putting a TRP in jail (first 1911) and I just wanted to double check.
