Modern 9mm handguns that haven't been affected by quality concerns?

All you hear about with new Glocks and Sigs is problems. I have new Glocks and new Sigs and I don't have any problems with them, but to be fair, I have seen proof at the range and online of people who have shown an objective decline in quality (Glocks extractor issues, Sig inferior Checkmate magazines and issue with outsourced MIM parts).

It makes me wonder...with gun companies going for cheaper parts to make their guns more competitive and keep up with costs of doing business, are any gun manufacturers maintaining the quality and durability that they were famous for?

If you wanted a hard use 9 millimeter pistol and wanted to buy something as good as it always was (as in, the company didn't cheap out over the years) where would you turn?

Look no further than the HK USP, P2000 or P30. Now in the interest of full disclosure, I will say that I'm very partial to HKs

OP, you just essentially asked, "what 9mm pistol(s) do you own, fellow Calgunners?"

Any modern handgun company should not only produce a reliable pistol, but also offer full warranty service on their handguns if anything goes wrong.

I gotta say my P2000 is just perfect. No issues at all.

These companies seem to be charging the same price (if not more) but switching to cheaper parts. I know MIM parts are cheaper to produce and any company using them will say it will say how good it is. I understand companies want to reduce cost and increase revenue but I feel like the consumer is getting screwed. Glock has also had problems with their firing pins because they switched to cheaper materials. No one should never have to worry about a Glock because; well, its a Glock, but now I have doubts about the quality of the products they are putting out currently. The "Hell and Back" reliability of Sigs is questionable now as well.

I have 4,500+ rounds through my Glock bought brand new in 2011 and 1,000+ rounds through my CZ 75B bought this year. No issues with either. I think either one qualifies as reliable.

I would say I will stick with both.

There are probably millions of GLOCKS, Sigs, etc out there.
The few complaints here and there are a very small but vocal percentage.

Did a ton of research before buying my Gen3 G19 and didn't find anything about issues other than with those than top load a round and have stove piping problems - which are eliminated if you don't top load.
