Why 1911 is Among the Best and Most Popular Handguns?

I shoot 200 rounds out of my sig 1911 every range trip alone and I go shooting about every other week, it's been flawless with no FTE or FTF, silver tauron, you must have had some cheap 1911s...

He hated 1911's, then bought a couple cheap ones and loved them.....then he was bummed he couldn't replace the grip screws....now he comes into every 1911 thread to give him "expert" advice on them.

The sales charts disagree.

The ONLY reason the 1911 is popular today is the trigger.I'll say one thing as someone who owned two:it sure aint because of its industry leading reliability!

If you're flinching,the quicker the shot breaks the more accurate the hit will be.Why?Because that's less time for the innate errors to do their damage.

A production 1911 is a fabulous gun for someone who shoots 200 rounds a year.For the rest of us who actually shoot often,there's Beretta,Glock,and other brands.

What's your definition of shooting often? Why would a production 1911 only be able to shoot 200 rounds a year? One of my production 1911s that is all original shot 3550 rounds in one day between two people. After cleaning, looked brand new. I'm not sure I understand your logic here.
