Question about XD

So I went to bass pro today to ppt my Glock to my friend.

The guy doing the paper work said why a glock?

I said because I like them. He said you should try an XD, I said no I dont like them.

I stated I have shot them and handled them alot but they are just not for me.

Then he to argue about how much better they are than glock.

I said I would chose glock every time.

He said well and xd can hit a target at 500 yards, now show me a glock that can do that?

So my question is for you can any stock available XD hit a target at 500 yards? I mean to me it really seems not probable.

Actually I have done it. But it was such a luck shot it wouldn't have mattered if it was my XD or my Glock I still would have been holding way high and left to get it to land on target. It was a 36 inch square steel plate. Stick with what you like. I was using a 4" XD .40 and it took me about 30 rounds to walk it in at that range.

I shoot 12" steel regularly at 100yards with a 4" service model.

500 yards? No way.

I have rung the gong at 225 yards but that gong is 36" around.

All I shoot with my XD anymore is 600 to 1000 yards. Even 500 is getting to be a little boring.

I like Glocks too, but they are more for close range shooting. Springfield XD's are a long range precision pistol.

Just two different style pistols thats all.

I can consistently hitting a 12 inch steel at 100 yard with a 4in stock XD...but 500 is way beyond belief.

Full of crap, but I will say that my XDM is more accurate than my glock 22. Can nail cans from 50 yards no problem lol. My glock can't or at-least I can't with my glock.

25 -50 yds...all day, no problem.
100 yds? yep, did that a few times.
500 yds? Why bother?
I've got a rifle for that.
