    zev tech/glockworx fulcrum trigger overheating?

    Hi All,

Has anybody ever had a problem with their ZT/GW Fulcrum Trigger getting so hot that it makes it near impossible to continue shooting? I just had my G34 gen 4 completely redone at Glockworx and as soon I got it out for some range time, I came to the harsh reality of barely being able to continue shooting. After 10 rounds the trigger burned my finger pretty bad. After 20 rounds it was so hot that it burned my finger to the point where I couldn't really shoot anymore. I had the metal insert on the trigger coated in titanium nitride in case that makes any difference? I was going to take this out to compete with but I dont think it would be possible to put 60 rounds through it at a match and actually be able to pull the trigger. I just wanted to hear other peoples experience before I went back to glockworx to complain. Thank you

Should have just left it like it was. Ive ran a factory G34 and 17L (1st Gen) in competition before and placed 1st, 2nd, 4th, respectively. The 34 is designed as a competition gun out of the box, why mess with it?

I have a G26 with a Fulcrum trigger, and have never heard of such a thing, and since TiN dissipates heat, the finish has nothing to do with heat being transferred to the trigger.

Could be a bad chamber in the barrel which is sending heat to the trigger bar which heats it up. Since the trigger bar and trigger are so close you could have heat transfer. Just an off the wall guess.

Interesting thoughts, the slide gets crazy hot too. I am thinking about just taking it back to see what they say. Thanks for your help

I've gone through 500+ rounds on a fulcrum trigger and have never had this problem.

This is probably the reason. There should be little or no heat transfer to the trigger bar.

If there is one thing people have always told me about glocks is dont mess with them. They are great out of the factory.

I had that issue as well with the trigger being hot. I thought I was the only one since everybody I told said the trigger shouldn't get that hot. I was shooting outdoors in 90+ degrees. At first I thought, the trigger was too hot from being under the sun but that was not the case. I put the gun back in the shade to let it cool down and shot more. The trigger got so hot it was unpleasant to shoot. I have since removed the trigger and replaced it back to stock. It was not that it got hot but I felt the GW trigger was too light for me.
Plus +1 for the CZ , my SP01 rocks.

I'm only joking. The OP is one of my best friends and it's just an ongoing, friendly revelry.

Something has to be wrong with the gun, I couldn't fire more than 20 rounds without having to put it down. Finger was tender for a couple days afterwards.

The gun has a nitride KKM barrel. I think he needs to try putting the stock barrel back in and see if the problem continues or not.

Maybe you should learn how to spell. BTW, its rivalry.
