Mags - easy. Take them apart as rebuilds and ship. You can only use them if you permanently block them to 10 rounds or when you go out of state. Do not, I repeat, do not use them in CA as regular mags.

$300 is a good price but you will end up paying quite a bit due to ffl transfer fees, tax, etc.

If you do not have one you will need to take a test to get your Handgun Safety Certificate HSC.

Yes 300 is a good price.

Like Jet Setter said, don't let him send the magazines with it unless they are taken apart (some FFL don't even like that, so might want to have him send the magazines dissembled to you direct).
Do not put them together in CA unless you limit them to 10 rounds. Or rebuild existing magazines ending up with no more magazines than you started with.

As an out of state transfer the fee's on top of DROS are not regulated. First find and FFL that is 1 willing to do it 2 will do it at a reasonable rate.

Note technically you will need a magazine to do the Safe Handling Demo.
If the shop has a compatible magazine and is willing you can use that for the demo.
(It can also be done on the same exact make and model pistol, but that isn't too handy in this case...)
Otherwise you will need to bring a magazine to do the demo with.
