I am thinking of doing my own trigger job (zero experience but good at figuring things out and lots of patience for details) on a Commander and a full size 1911. I am thinking of using Wilson Bullet Proof parts and would purchase a trigger, sear, springs and possibly hammer. Does anyone know whether I'd need the Ed Brown sear jig to 'fit' the sear? Wilson's site and comments therein seem to suggest its all 'drop in' but I'm unsure. I don't mind buying the jig and abrasive blocks/clothe if recomended. Any other items to consider (safety, mag release, or just the parts I listed).

There might be a chance that you'll have to fit a new thumb safety. -
I recently did one using Cylinder & Slide Super Match Trigger Pull 5 piece set rated at 3-1/2 , the only thing I needed to fit is the thumb safety to properly engage and dis-engage, the trigger was amazing! http://www.midwayusa.com/product/816...l-in-the-whiteComment

I was fitting a new grip safety to my old Gold Cup, and always wanted a skeletonized hammer, so I bought the matched sear and hammer set, even though I can do my own sear work. Nice set, works great, breaks clean right a 4lbs. , exactly where I like it. Drop it in and you're good to go.
