AR Pistol Engraving Info...

I want to have all the proper info on my pistol as if I was to register it. What do I need exactly? My personal name or my initials or some nick name? Where I live or where I milled it or does it matter? Caliber? Do I make my own Serial Number? Should I put PISTOL on the side of it?

Any help would be appreciated?

This is what I'll have engraved into my 80% lowers onto the bolt catch side, obviously different serial numbers for each.

You'll also want to have all lettering over 1/16" tall and .003" deep (or deeper).

If you ever want to sell it. It might be a good idea to mark it with the word "pistol"

Some FFL's may turn you away if it doesn't. Based on the fact that they have no clue what the receiver ever started as... A rifle or a pistol.

You can, that's what some people do. Although some will advise you against it.
