I have the WC 1911 CQB LR Bull Barrel Combat Sight but I am thinking of selling it and get the SA since it takes a tool to field strip it to clean the slide unlike the WC you have to have strong grip to take down for cleaning slide and barrel. I Think I have arthritis :-)

Definitely partial to pistols without front cocking serrations, but both are great pistols, and both are about the same price, so I'd say you can't go wrong with either one.

I like bull barrels, just because my first 1911 was an officer bull barrel. honestly, both are good cgoices op

Tough! Do you really have to sell to get the Pro? Have you shot the Pro or are you just curious to have one?

At that level, I would say it's a tough call. It could boil down to the minutest of preferences. I don't own either one but have shot WC's, Nighthawks, Browns, Baers, etc. and I prefer Nighthawks based on my experience shooting them. Nothing wrong with the others, just purely preference.

If you like your WC, don't get rid of it. Good luck!

Just replace the guide rod with a GI guide rod and no more tool required. The full length guide rod really does nothing for accuracy.

If I read correctly, the OP is suggesting that he has arthritis, and would prefer to use a tool to field-strip the pistol as opposed to maintaining the death-grip while removing and reinstalling the slide-stop, which I'd imagine being quite painful with arthritic joints in the hand, wrist, forearm or elbow.

Thank you all for the response, My WC is similar to this when stripping down for a routine maintenance, but for a full size you could imagine the tension of the spring and guide rod and It has previously slip off from my hands, I would trade my WC for other High End 1911 with standard bushing...

You don't need to hold the slide with a death grip if you have a GI guide rod. Just use a barrel bushing wrench to remove the plunger and you can remove the slide with little effort.
