    Springfield's Professional VS Colt's USMC?

If the Springfield Professional model and the Colt USMC pistol went head to head with each other, which do you think would outshoot the other? I know both of these beauties went through quite a bit of testing before being selected for the individuals who carry them. Also, any information on the tests (aside from accuracy) these guns went through would be appreciated. Thanks

Springfield Professional; SACS >>>>>>>>>> Colt Custom Shop imho. Plus I'm not a fan of front cocking serrations when I can avoid them.

At the 2012 shot show the SA professional was hands down the best 1911 i felt as far as fit. The slide felt like it was on ball bearings.

They are both just OK. If you want to trade up, I have a Glock 34 available.

I wish I owned both to give you my assessment. But if I were to guess, I would pick SA Pro

The Colt is just a standard production 1911 with a pretty picture of a horse that adds about $500 to the price tag. The SA is hand fitted by some fellas who know a thing or two about making 1911s and it uses top-notch parts. The two aren't even in the same class. The Colt is a production and the SA is a semi-custom. The only bad thing I can say is that the front strap checkering on the SA is very aggressive 20 lpi and designed to be used with gloves, which is uncomfortable to me during long range sessions.

Here is the totally awesome Colt that everyone loves.

These rather interesting photos come from TEST REPORT FOR THE CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE PISTOL (CQBP) BID SAMPLES, PHASE II and are of Colt test articles from t ...

SA PRO w/Nowlin Barrel, is in it's own league in my book. Plus I like no FCS.

Here is a great article on the SA PRO, you'll want one after you read it.

A more apples to apples comparison would be the Springfield MC Operator / Colt USMC. The Springfield Pro is in a completely different category.

SA Professional wins hands down in that comparison.

                            1. The SACS has a better reputation than the Colt CS for building a quality gun.
                            2. The finish on the Pro is better than that on the M45

As poster earlier, a comparison between the MC Operator and the M45 would be a better one
