SA Exemption San Diego?

Are they easy to convert to SA? Would the shop do the conversion or would I need the seller to do the conversion in order to ship it to an FFL?

My LGS will let me do the SA-only conversion before he DROS's it. On the newer S&W revolvers, the DA sear is just a friction fit, apparently and can be wiggled off the hammer, no pin to remove. *EDIT* but there is a small spring you want to be careful not to lose.

Nice thanks. I was looking at that one as well, but figured I may as well just grab a rifle if I needed that. I probably won't be doing any pisol hunting so I was thinking 44mag would be plenty for my range toy.

Also thinking about 454 casul but then I would certainly need to start hunting

Haha! Yeah, it's a beast...I figured if I'm going 460 S&W, I'm going all in.

And I tell myself that it's "practical" because it shoots 460 S&W, 454 Casul, & 45LC...yeah, right.

Yea the more I think about it the more I'm thinking to go 460, but i do't think I would want such a long barrel. The 44 with the weighted barrel would still be run though, but since I reload why not go with 460? The only thing is that I read the barrels are only good for about 1k rounds...

Haha...I passed on the 10.5". I told myself it was because I wanted the 14", but the 10.5" is on-roster, the 14" off-roster...so deep down I know the real reason.

I shot the S&W 500 magnum today 8&3/8th inch barrel. Split a box of ammo with a friend. After the first 5 shots it wasn't that fun anymore. They had a 10.5" 460 for sale too but I think I might have to pass on both, my hand still hurts.

Yea I know I could shoot colt 45, but I think I want something in between.

Now I'm back to wanting that 44 magnum. I hear 44 magnum colts are built better than S&W, but I do really like that competitor.

I wanted to try the ruger 454 Casull but the range was out of ammo for that one.
