Extar EXP 5.56 AR Pistol (polymer)

    Check this baby out.

Saw it on riflegear's FB page. Looks like a fun lightweight AR pistol, decent price too. No buffer tube.

Not bad for the price, but I'd still have to handle it before I make a judgement

            Extar

Jailed one, so we will see how it does. I'm wondering how to attach a sling. Should be a fun range toy.

Anybody seen/handled one of these in person? Wish I could find one that somebody had SBRed.

Just a quick correction -- these pistols are DI not gas piston. There is a shortened carrier and spring system to make up for not having a buffer tube.

Before we started distributing them we out a few thousand rounds through a couple units and they're awesome to shoot. Virtually no recoil or muzzle jump which is amazing for the very light weight.

We just got a small batch in stock and are shipping same day.

Cali compliant model with sled and bullet button is just $469.

As for SBR, EXTAR has promised a simple hinge kit for a stock that will replace the current back plate some time later this year. They are also working on a rear sling mount accessory

It's a great deal for the price, handled one at ammo bros but it seems too plasticky to me
