    P226 short reach trigger

    Hi,

This seems to be pretty much universally loved, however, mine came with it, and I really have trouble with the double action pull on it: I have big hands, and the pull goes further back than my knuckles.

I bought the standard trigger kit (+ the E2 grips, and short reset kit) which I love, and makes the DA pull so much easier for me; does this indicate poor technique, or is it reasonable for the short reach trigger to be really problematic if you've got long fingers?

I love the stock trigger too. One size does not fit all.

I have the standard trigger and E2 grips on both my P226 and P229, no short reset kit in them...yet. I think that for being advertised as a 10# DA pull that Sig has one of the nicest double action pulls from the factory. Smooth, relatively short DA pull. Definitely puts both my old Beretta 92FS and M9 to shame. Same with the SA trigger. Can't wait to try the SRT in my P229 since I am planning on making that my cold-weather carry gun.
