Just out of curiousity what is the average mark up on a non custom handgun? Does it vary significantly from maufacturer to manufacturer?

Mark up on handguns

When I used to buy guns from Turner's, they showed me their spreadsheet with both retail prices, and their cost. The difference in price on the handguns I looked at wasn't much. Overall, I think the profit margin on guns is slim, and stores make their real money in ammo, holsters, and other gun-related stuff that we buy. -
↑↑↑ Yeah! What he said! ↑↑↑
"Most people understand that guns deter criminals. If a killer were stalking your family, would you feel safer putting a sign out front announcing, "This Home Is a Gun-Free Zone"? But that is what the Westroads Mall did" (in Omaha, Neb).

It really depends on the manufacturer. I make less than 10% on most high end guns. I think I get about 20% on a glock.
If you want a specific # for wholesale value, pm me with specifics. I'll look up nearly any firearms still available on the wholsale market.Comment
