I recently bought a LCR revolver (used) and during the initial tear down (I Always disassemble new to me guns) I found the transfer bar that bumps the firing pin had a small divot in it where it strikes the firing pin.. So this morning I called Ruger CS, well the CS lady said the part number in the manual seemed to be wrong so she would check with a Gunsmith and get back with me.. Sure enough an hour later she was on the phone and shipping me 2 new transfer bars.. How's that for Service?

I bought a P90 used and about a year later the little spring which load the mag release broke.
One call = 3 springs delivered to the house a few days later. Had I sent them the pistole on my dime, they would've done it for with a complementary deep cleaning.
That was my first Ruger and now, along with the P90, I have a Single Six and a Mark III Hunter.
Oh and I also named my Brittany puppy Ruger.

Years ago I used to own one of the old target model Mark I's and it had a weak mag release spring. I called Ruger to order replacement springs, and when I told the rep how old it was she said if I sent it in they'd go over it at no cost. She mentioned that depending on the day they might even refinish it for me at no cost given it's age and that they like seeing the old models. The finish was almost perfect, so I just got the springs, but they sent them to me for free. Not bad service for a gun that left the factory 50 years ago if I remember correctly.
They're been backed up at times, but I don't remember ever hearing a bad story about Ruger's CS.I'm a big old, bourbon-soaked cigar-huffing ***, as God in his infinite wisdom meant me to be. - Charlie Sheen.Comment

I have an early MK I with a problem in the "barrel" assy. My Dad bought it new in the early 50's, so I really want to get it taken care of and am dubious of the local 'smiths on this pistol.
I called Ruger and they couldn't find it in the Database it was too old, but Someone remembered how to add it. I had to tell them what it was and what Barrel... They told me how to ship it and that they would take care of it, no charge , short of replacement, but that might be possible as it was so early an ID number... Totally blew me away, I am so used to fighting with CS reps that I didn't know what to say. Then a follow up call a couple weeks later, not only for quality control, but she said that they were really interested in how the gun was doing and to send it in if I ever needed anything!
She did tell me that all the on shift gunsmiths had to fire it and she got to as well "just to make sure it was good".
These are not just business people, they are Gun people, they are good People! Good to know they are consistant as well.Comment

I had to ship a gun to Ruger and I supposed to get back with them to confirm some information. I was too busy and not calling back. Ruger CS, it was also a lady, called me back asking for that information. At the end, I got a new gun with free shipping and DROS fee.
