It's as safe as the person holding it.
Taiwan born, Chinese descent, red white and freaking blue America citizen.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

A gun isn't supposed to be "safe", it is supposed to go "BANG!" every time you want it to. Glocks are very good at that ;-)

That said, a glock (any gun), is only as "safe" as the user.
The operation of the glock is stupid simple - you point and squeeze, it goes BANG! Exactly what you want, especially when pumped up on adrenaline, and fine motor skills are gone.

Don't want to accidentally shoot yourself or friend? Don't point a firearm at them ;-)

I lost a Glock 20 recently in a boating accident. Before acquiring it (and loosing it) I heard rumors about safety and did a bunch of searching around. The only thing I could come up with is that the +p and higher pressure rounds can cause the case head to separate (which is a very bad thing). Something to do with the generous tolerances that Glock uses in the chambers to ensure reliability.

So if you want to shoot Buffalo Bore or other higher pressure rounds you may want to do a barrel swap, like a Storm Lake barrel. If shooting regular factory ammo, no worries.

No gun is safe. They are designed to kill. A person can be safe. Mostly with training & experience.

By that standard there's no such thing as a "safe" revolver.
There are tons of guns that don't have mechanical safeties.
I use to be an anarchist but I quit that; there's too many rules.

Glocks are not ever safe, like any weapon, they are dangerous, as designed. I ran a G21 to over 125,000 rounds and have 2 G17's that are at, or over, 70,000 rounds each. Every time I pulled the trigger they go bang, as designed.

Glock is the most popular LE pistol in US today .

I carry a Glock for almost 20 years.

Glock is QUICKLY becoming a VERY popular pistols of armed forces all over the world.

If You want a WEAPON , Glocks are great.

This makes no sense. A person can kill with his or her bare hands as well.

A gun will not do anything until handled by a human, and even then, the person handling it must either want to kill or mishandle the firearm to cause death.

A gun by itself doesn't do anything. I'm pretty sure a gun without ammunition will be "safe".
