    Need help quick....

So I had a Glock gen 4 with lots of extra mags, barrel, etc... listed on Gunbroker... Even though my auction clearly states that the mags are all hi cap, that it is a gen 4, and that the buyer needs to know his gun laws... The guy still bids and wins.... Before I go totally off the wall and bang the guy with an "F", I just want to make sure.. there is no way to get this sent over to him (He is in Cal I am in IL... G4 G34 is not on the handgun Roster), correct?

    Thanks,
    Bobby C

He could be exempt from the roster. His dealer could make the gun and mags CA compliant.

Does the FFL have to do that? How would I know I am safe to send it to that FFL and not get into any trouble...

      Thanks again for the help...

Would disassembling the mags into repair kits work?

If you really are concerned about avoiding trouble, I would just take apart the magazines, as shipping the gun itself is not an issue. Once the buyer takes possession of the firearm, they can then modify the mags to adhere to CA laws if necessary.

Edited to add that shipping the firearm to an FFL is not an issue

If his FFL can do an SSE on it and block the mags into 10-rounders, then it will be fine to ship it.

EDIT: As crob mentioned above, you can also take apart the mags, so they are just rebuild kits to avoid any trouble with shipping.

Even if the Gen4 Glocks are not on the roster? Interesting... Please explain

There's a sticky at the top of this forum on the whole SSE process that allows us non-exempt Californians to obtain off-roster pistols.

The roster applies to FFLs transferring the gun to a non-roster exempt individual. If the firearm meets certain criteria, the roster does not apply. To meet this criteria, several FFLs offer to modify the firearm so that it becomes roster exempt. This is what is referred to as a Single Shot Exemption, once the purchaser takes possession of the firearm, they can legally convert it back. This of course goes out the window if the purchaser is a roster exempt individual, such a law enforcement officer.

Just talked to a Cal FFL since I am not a FFL myself, I do not have the proper letter from the state to legally sell as a private sale anyways. So regardless I can not sent it on it.

To make it easy... I am just going to not sell this particular pistol to the guy...

So take it to a FFL to send. And you can certainly send the gun to a CA FFL without any letter from the state.

You can still send. I have sse before and it's easy. many ffl do now just disassemble the mags and the dealer will handle rest. Get paid before shipping. It's very easy
