First Python purchase in 2013

Been into other things the last few months, but ran into this a few weeks ago and could not resist adding her to the collection.

The way Python prices have been going lately I did not think I would be buying anymore, but this one was a steal at today's prices.

I love the wood stocks (grips) on Stainless Steel.

I'm a fairly new shooter and have already heard about the legendary Colt Python. I had the chance to try one out the other day... Now I understand why it's held in such high regard.

I had the opportunity to shoot a mid-70's vintage python a few days ago. The DA trigger pull was the smoothest and most even I've ever experienced and SA mode delivered the tightest groups I've ever shot with a center fire pistol. It was an absolutely sublime experience. Congratulations on your find. I am admittedly envious.

Beautiful. I've got my eyes peeled for a 6 inch SS, but I managed to snag this 4 inch Python earlier this year for a steal as well. The biggest crime is that I've owned it for a few months and haven't even taken it out to shoot yet!
