Why Sell Sig 1911's

I noticed quite a few used Sig 1911's for sale on the marketplace.

Is there something wrong with the Sig 1911's that people are selling them?

Just worried. I have one that's why.

Some people don't like the grip safety on them. Otherwise if day is just selective perception.

I sold mine to get a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. Otherwise I would've kept it. There is nothing wrong with the Sig 1911s aside from the sharp grip safety; which of course can be changed.

I had two and sold one to find a project. Will never sell the other one though!

sig 1911's are crap!!! with that said... you should sell it to me for half the retail price! lol jk jk.

But seriously, if you're happy with your gun, who cares what others are doing/think/says.

People sell guns for all kinds of reasons. I've never sold a gun that I didn't like ('cause I like them all!). I just grow tired of one and sell it to fund another. I can't afford to keep them all so I sell and buy, sell and buy. It's a hobby.

+1 Personal reasons, Ive sold 2-3 guns already for other projects/purchases/and pay some billz. I can assume some full in the same lines. I noticed a lot of HK USP too

just a theory- people who can afford sigs ( and maybe HK as well ) probably have some extra money then get bored and want to try something new and they can afford to lose a few dollars on the sale/trade-in for something else.(all the time).
whereas people who buy mid. or lower price guns used most of their "extra" savings and probably will not be selling ( and possibly taking a financial loss ) unless its a emergency type situation.

just to make it clear I think all types (high,mid. or low priced)of firearms buyers are great. It is generally a solid investment that probably will not depreciate significantly.

I think you see this phenomenon in buying cars as well. high end cars (that you think people would want to keep forever) get traded in and a lot of low end cars stay with the person until they fall apart.
either way it's okay.
buying and selling is American pastime.

I sold one, but to fund a different project. it was safe queen and I have a few of those. nothing wrong with the gun

I sold my Sig 1911 because, for no reason in particular, it just never felt like MY gun. My P226, on the other hand, had never failed to feel comfortable as an old friend - especially after a SRT job. So I sold the 1911 and put the dough toward an X-Five.

Depends on the model. A while back, a number of people were complaining about reliability and feeding issues with the early models of the GSR.
