    question about 4473

Hello, I plan on purchasing my first handgun soon so I am going over a 4473 pdf to cover all the bases but I am not sure where I will need to enter my proof of residency information on the document. Is it under question 20b? Or will the FFL take a copy of my proof of residence? My drivers license has my current address. Thank you.

If your DL has your current physical address on it, the Feds will not require anything else. CA will require a POR document for the DROS but only the dealer will keep a copy of that. It doesn't get entered on the DROS.

The FFL will see your proof of residence, and will enter it in the 4473. As a customer you stop initially where it asks you to sign.
