    s&w m&p question on part#30/ ejector

    Hello everyone,

I just got a used m&p9 fs and the ejector which is part#30 I found to be wiggling a bit ( meaning a lot more than I would expect as I own a m&p 9c and have owned two other m&p pistols). I did find a topic on ar15.com talking about similar issues where the ejector was loose but the gun functioned fine. I kinda figure this gun is one where the ejector is a bit more loose. The gun I received has about 500 rounds through it and it looks that way (I totally believe the person I traded with).

My question is anyone else here have experience their m&p having a loose ejector? Any problems with it? Rounds through it without issue etc? Or maybe its pegging you in the head ? Just wanted to see the experiences from fellow calgunners on this.

Btw here is a link to Brownells so you can see the part for those that don't know (it should be #30).

Brownells has been serving hunters, shooters, and first responders since 1939 and is one of the most trusted suppliers and manufacturers in the World.

If I remember right that part just lays there and is held in place on the sub assy by the assy being placed in the frame of the gun.. Take a look at one of the Apex trigger videos to check it out..

Do you mean that it is wiggling when the gun is assembled...you are reaching in through the ejection port to move its nose?

Is it moving up-and-down or side-to-side?

It is moving forward and backward with a bit of down and up as its going forward and back in its position meaning towards the front of the gun and back towards the rear (if this makes sense hopefully). I did this with the slide off, I was just cleaning it a bit ago. I will have to double check here

            * When checking now yes it goes forward and back, up and down a bit, but not side to side*
