220 Carry SAS Gen 2 Wait

I was just informed I have to wait until August for my replacement 220 carry sas gen 2.
I sent it in last December!!!
Sig says it wont have those frames until maybe August.
They offered me any gun in their lineup (minus the master series) as a replacement.
I really loved the carry sized non railed version of the 220. Felt great in the hands and shot great. Should I pick another Sig 45 or just wait?

Wow I've been looking for one as well to do a SSE. I handled one last year from a dealer selling it as a regular P220 Carry (fudging on the roster bit), and really liked it, but was backed up on the 30 day wait of another DROS so I passed it by.

I've been keeping an eye out but no luck. Last week, I saw a run of maybe 4 or 5 online dealers with the P220 Carry SAS, but in the SAO format, so I figured Sig was filling some orders again. These were all German frames too, with recent style US slides. Too bad about the wait until August !

What was wrong with your first P220 Carry SAS ??

The finish was flaking off and had some pitting in the magwell.
It was brand new. Only took it to the range a few times.
Didn't want to send it in, but having spent nearly a grand, I wanted it right.
I sent it in right before Sandy Hook.
