Could use some advice here. This is a follow up to this thread:
I had the last round jamming problem with the old followers using both Hornady Critical Defense as well as Winchester silver tips. If the first round loaded was a FMJ and the rest were hollow points there were no issues with either type of ammo in full mags.
I finally had a chance to get my new followers from Glock installed. They are the #3 followers that say "9mm" on them. The old followers that had the original problem of failing to load the last HP round in the mag were 2183's.
I had the new followers replaced on all 4 of my mags at the Glock Store (their service in the store is outstanding despite the problems people have had online with them).
Went to the range and the Hornadys and Winchesters fired all 10 without issue in all of the mags.
When I tried the Aguila's I was getting jams 2-3 times per mag! When I could finally get the mags out (they were difficult to remove without using the gap in the mag well) there was a noticeable "squared" edge on the bullet jacket.
I never shot the Aguila's with the old followers as I just got them. FMJ ammo works fine in all mags
Since this is our HD gun I'm a little concerned. Glocks are known for eating everything. Has anyone else had problems with this ammo? Should I put the old followers back on and load the 1 FMJ / 9 HP combo or just stick to the Hornady ammo for HD and avoid the Auguila?
